Overview

Ramsey Coaching had grown into two separate products. Financial Coach Master Training and the Ramsey Coaching CRM lived on different domains, required separate logins, and felt completely unrelated to the coaches using them. Coaches who finished their training had no clear path into the tools they needed to actually start their practice. The seams showed, navigation was confusing, and there was no sense of progression from one product to the next. What should have felt like one connected journey felt like two different companies.

User Pain Points

  1. No clear Path Forward

Coaches finishing training had no clear direction into the tools they needed to start their practice. Two separate products, two logins, and no sense of where to go next.

  2. Disconnected products

Financial Coach Master Training and the Ramsey Coaching CRM lived on different domains and felt completely unrelated. Coaches had no idea they were part of the same ecosystem.

  3. No unified navigation

With no shared navigation between the two products, coaches who found their way from one to the other had to start over from scratch every time.

Goals/Deliverables

  1. One place for everything.
Bring Financial Coach Master Training and the Ramsey Coaching CRM together under a single domain with one login and one navigation system coaches could actually learn and trust.

  2. A side navigation that works hard.

Design a new side nav that reorganized all navigation elements in a way that matched the coach's mental model, not the internal product structure.

  3. A scalable information architecture.

Reorganize the underlying structure so the team had a solid foundation to build on, rather than continuing to patch two disconnected systems together.

Desired Outcome

To create a unified coaching experience that gives financial coaches one place to learn, grow, and run their practice. By bringing two disconnected products together under a single domain with a thoughtful navigation system, the goal was to reduce confusion, build trust in the platform, and give the team a stable foundation to keep building on. Success meant coaches spending less time figuring out where to go and more time doing the work they came to do.

My Approach

Before touching the UI, I mapped the full coach journey across both products to find where the disconnects were most damaging. From there I worked with PM and engineering to define what a unified information architecture could look like: one domain, one login, one coherent experience that grew with coaches as they moved from training into practice.

The Work

The core design challenge was building a navigation system that could hold two distinct product contexts without flattening them. Coaches needed to know where they were, where they could go, and how the two worlds connected. I explored several directions before landing on a structure that made the relationship between training and practice feel intentional rather than bolted together.

The Outcome

This was a foundational move more than a metric-driven one, the kind of work that makes every feature built after it better. Unifying the two products under RamseyCoach.com created a stable platform for the team to build on and gave coaches a single place to grow their practice from day one.
